Agemark Corporation, founded by Richard Westin and Jesse Pittore in 1987, is a private company dedicated to developing and operating exceptional assisted living communities throughout the country. Agemark is based in Berkeley, California with a satellite office in Hastings, Nebraska. Now in its 22nd year, Agemark is one of the pioneers in the assisted living industry.
The Agemark founders set out to create a company that focused on fulfilling the needs of an aging population and making a positive difference in the lives of seniors and their families.
Agemark began with the renovation and adaptive reuse of historic buildings in locations across the United States. To this day, these Kensington-Evergreen residences are the treasured landmarks of their communities.

In 1997, Agemark opened its first CountryHouse Residence in response to a growing need for specialized Alzheimer's care. Designed by memory care experts, CountryHouse looks and feels like a traditional family home in which remarkably unobtrusive services are delivered by understanding staff.

Astoria Gardens is the newest addition to the Agemark family, combining the best of our assisted living and memory care philosophies. Designed to accommodate a range of needs, Astoria Gardens enables residents to comfortably age in place with dignity and grace.
Agemark is led by a talented and experienced team of real estate and management professionals. The principals of Agemark have an average tenure of 20 years in the assisted living industry.
