A new memory care community for seniors is slated for an early-2021 grand opening in San Juan Capistrano, CA. Serra Sol Memory Care will exclusively serve those with memory care needs due to Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.
A partnership between Protea Capital Partners and Agemark Senior Living, Serra Sol Memory Care will be located at 31451 Avenida Los Cerritos in San Juan Capistrano. The building will be approximately 36,000 sq. ft and will have space for nearly 80 residents. Located close to the intersection of I-5 and I-74, access to and from the site is easy, ensuring that visits to loved ones are as convenient as possible.
The building will be designed specifically for those facing memory loss, and programming and activities will focus on addressing and enhancing residents’ physical, social, intellectual and spiritual well-being. Staff and caregivers will be trained to offer compassionate, personalized care for all residents.
Greg Spiro, Co-Founder and Principal of Protea Capital Partners says, “San Juan Capistrano is a historic, charming city whose residents have lived here for generations and are fiercely determined to remain here for the rest of their lives. Although there were multiple options for senior living in the area, we discovered that there was a dearth of facilities that provided memory care services. Our goal is to help fill that gap and offer a much-needed service to residents who require such care.”
Agemark Co-Founder and CEO Richard Westin says, “At Agemark, we believe those who face memory loss can – and should – continue to experience joy in their daily lives. After decades of working with seniors, we know that the quality of life for those with dementia can be greatly enhanced with compassionate, loving and innovative personal care. We are pleased to bring our passion to Serra Sol and the San Juan Capistrano community.”
A private groundbreaking ceremony was held on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. For more information on Serra Sol Memory Care, please visit serrasol.com.
