Dear Agemark Family Members,
Because Agemark is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone who lives and works in our buildings, we are keeping up to date with information from the CDC about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19). At this time, the immediate health risk from COVID-19 is considered low for the general American public who are unlikely to be exposed to this virus. However, more cases are likely to be identified in the coming days.
The Novel Coronavirus is believed to be spread through droplets (from a cough or sneeze) and from close contact. As with any infection, there are things we can all do to protect ourselves and those around us, including wash your hands with soap and water frequently for 20 seconds; use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available; avoid touching your eyes, mouth, or nose with unwashed hands; stay home when you are sick, and cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
Our Infectious Process Containment Policies and Procedures are in place and all staff are trained to follow them. We will keep you updated if the CDC makes new information available or we become aware of any recommendations that would impact our residents, employees, families or visitors.
